Navigating Serbia's visa and permit system can be complex. Requirements vary depending on your nationality, purpose of stay and employment status. We prepare all documentation and submit your application online — on your behalf.
A D Visa allows you to enter and stay in Serbia for between 90 and 180 days, with multiple entries. It is the first step for foreigners who plan to live, work or do business in Serbia long-term.
When applying, you must select the purpose of your stay. The most common grounds are:
The required documents vary depending on your selected ground. We will assess your situation and inform you of the exact documentation needed.
The application can be submitted online or in person at the nearest Serbian embassy or consulate — no earlier than 3 months before your planned travel date. We submit the application on your behalf through the official Welcome to Serbia portal. Each person, including children listed in your passport, must submit a separate application.
The Unified Permit (Jedinstvena dozvola) is a biometric card issued by the Serbian Ministry of Interior that grants you the right to both reside and work in Serbia. It replaces the previous system of two separate documents — a residence permit and a work permit — into one streamlined document, valid for up to 3 years.
Temporary Residence is a permit issued to foreigners who wish to stay in Serbia for longer than allowed under a visa-free agreement or a D Visa. It is valid for up to 3 years and is issued in the form of a biometric card. Unlike the Unified Permit, it does not automatically include work authorization — however, depending on your ground of residence, you may have the right to work in Serbia without a separate work permit.
Permanent Residence allows you to live in Serbia indefinitely. It is issued in the form of a biometric ID card and grants you the same rights as Serbian citizens in most areas — including the right to work, access public services and eventually apply for Serbian citizenship.
